By 2050, the world population will reach 9 billion. Global warming and climate change are now a globally recognized trend. With such growth prospects, if the ways of producing and consuming do not change, in 2030 the resources of 2.3 planets will be needed for the survival of all the inhabitants of the Earth, as the Global Footprint Network WBCSD Vision 2050 highlights.
